My name is Tami, and caring for others has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.
I grew up in an Adult Family Home owned and operated by my mother, where I learned early on that caregiving is about much more than meeting physical needs. It's about preserving dignity, building meaningful relationships, and creating a place where people feel safe, valued, and truly at home.
After becoming a Registered Nurse, I spent more than 15 years working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), caring for critically ill and medically fragile infants and supporting families during some of the most difficult and meaningful moments of their lives. During that same season of life, I also helped care for my grandmother and a family member with significant disabilities for more than a decade while raising my own children.
Those experiences shaped my understanding of caregiving from both professional and personal perspectives. They taught me the importance of compassion, trust, communication, and the small details that can make the difference between simply providing care and helping someone truly feel cared for.
Today, I combine my nursing background with a lifetime of caregiving experience to provide thoughtful, personalized care for each resident entrusted to us. As an owner, I remain actively involved in the day-to-day operations of our homes because I believe families deserve transparency, accessibility, and the confidence of knowing their loved one is receiving exceptional care.
Our goal has always been simple: to create the kind of home where we would feel comfortable placing our own parents and grandparents.
We believe families deserve the opportunity to be family again, spending less time worrying about daily tasks and more time enjoying meaningful moments together as daughters, sons, spouses, grandchildren, and friends.
The responsibilities of caregiving can often change the relationship between loved ones. By providing compassionate, dependable care, we hope to relieve some of that burden so families can return to simply being family.
It is a privilege to care for the residents who call our homes their own, and an honor to support the families who place their trust in us.
Throughout my life, I've learned that there is a difference between simply completing a task and creating an experience.
One of the earliest lessons came from an unexpected place. As a young server at PF Chang's, I was taught the difference between providing a taxi ride service and a limousine ride service. Both get you to the same destination, but one simply provides transportation while the other anticipates needs, removes obstacles, and allows you to relax knowing everything has been thoughtfully taken care of—and that if a concern arises, you know exactly who will be there to help.
That concept shaped my mindset and has guided countless decisions throughout my career.
Over the years, I carried that philosophy into nursing, caregiving, and eventually into the Adult Family Homes we operate today. Anyone can complete a checklist of tasks. Medications can be passed, meals can be served, and appointments can be scheduled. But exceptional care is often found in the things that never make it onto a task list.
It's communicating directly with physicians so families don't spend hours navigating phone trees and waiting for answers. It's proactively updating family members so they aren't left wondering how their loved one is doing. It's noticing subtle changes before they become larger concerns. It's understanding not only a resident's medical needs, but also their routines, preferences, fears, and what brings them comfort.
We believe the best care happens when residents feel known, families feel supported, and small details are handled before they become burdens.
Our goal is not simply to meet our residents' physical needs. Our goal is to create a home where people feel respected, understood, comfortable, and genuinely cared for every day.
Ultimately, our mission is simple: to create homes where families can return to being family again. By providing thoughtful, dependable care and anticipating needs before they become worries, we hope to give families the freedom to spend less time managing daily responsibilities and more time enjoying meaningful moments with the people they love.
